In order not to lose track which mini on the table is which NPC, I created these simple rings with numbers.

Rings have been auto-generated with a script repeatedly running an OpenSCAD file. Added the OpenSCAD file as well in case you would like to change stuff.

To print it with multiple colors, simply swap out the filament after the first 2mm have been printed (so after layer 10 if you print it with 0.2mm layer height which I can recommend)

Example of scripts to batch-process the scad file (generates 20 numeric rings for 25mm bases):

Windows:

@echo off

set FOLDER="out/25mm/numbers/" set /a STARTNUMBER = 1 set /a MAXNUMBER = 20 mkdir %FOLDER%

set OPENSCAD="C:\Program Files\OpenSCAD\openscad.com" set /a CURRENT=%STARTNUMBER% :loop %OPENSCAD% -o %FOLDER%/Marker_35mm_%CURRENT%.stl -D text="%CURRENT%" -D base_diameter=35 Mini_Marker.scad set /a CURRENT=%CURRENT%+1 if %CURRENT% LEQ %MAXNUMBER% goto loop

break

Linux:

#!/bin/bash
FOLDER="out/25mm/numbers/"
STARTNUMBER=1
MAXNUMBER=20
mkdir -p $FOLDER

CURRENT=$STARTNUMBER while [ $CURRENT -le $MAXNUMBER ] do openscad -o $FOLDER/Marker_25mm_$CURRENT.stl -D text="$CURRENT" -D base_diameter=25 Mini_Marker.scad let CURRENT=$CURRENT+1 done exit 0
