This is an adjustable pen/pencil/marker holder for the XRP Robotics Kit!

It uses an adjustable mounting mechanism for holding different sized pens and also allows for quickly swapping between them.

It's also compatible with the ultrasonic module, just make sure to lift up the plotter all the way so it doesn't interfere!

Adjusting Parts

A .step file has been included so that you can easily adjust the 3D models to suit your exact needs. You can do this by moving the servo mounting points or increasing/decreasing the diameter of the screw holes for example.

Assembly Guide

1: Attach the Pen Holder to the Hinge Mount using a screw. Ensure that it can be easily rotated (you may need to swing it back and forth until it loosens).

2: Insert the Servo Horn into the Pen Holder. You may need to use superglue or hot glue to ensure it is secured in place.

3: Attach the Servo to the Servo Mount using the Servo Screws.

4: Attach the Servo Mount to the Pen Holder.

5: Snap the Servo Mount and the Hinge Mount onto the XRP Robotics Kit.

6: Insert a pen into the Pen Holder, then secure it into place using the Nut.

7: Configure the servo motor to raise up and down to draw whatever you want!
