#0175 Third Sun Visor - Under the Mirror

I bet you are familiar with driving around sun up or sun down when the sun is low enough to be blinding?  Well, the 2 built-in sun visors do a great job blocking it - EXCEPT - under the rear view mirror!  

This model mounts behind your rear view mirror to add a 3rd sun visor to block the sun there as well!

Key features:

1. The mounting leg rotates to comply to the mirror surfaces and is print in place.
2. Uses double stick tape for ease of installation.
3. Folds up behind the mirror when not needed.
4. Folds down to block the sun as needed - and adjustable to go only low enough to block the sun, and not any lower - like your other visors.
5. Indexed knuckle provides grip to hold the visor's position.
6. For maximum sun blockage, utilize the other 2 visors as well, as shown in the pics.
7. You can customize the width to match the width of your mirror (by scaling UP the width only. Do not scale down.)  You'd want the visor to be slightly wider than your mirror for best results.
   
   NOTE: Do not scale the mounting legs.

2 variants of the mounting legs:

1. The surface intended for VHB tape has a slight curve to accommodate some modern mirrors' backside.
2. The surface intended for VHB tape is left flat, if this is what you need.

Printing recommendations:

1. Print 2x of the visor mounting leg.
2. Print 1x of the visor.  (suggested: on a texture print sheet, for best appearance).
3. Use PETG/ABS/ASA only.  ASA preferred for UV resistance. (tested with Polymaker ASA)
4. 0.2mm layers, 0.4mm nozzle.
5. IMPORTANT NOTE: the mounting leg will have some minor welding of the 2 halves together.  Some gentle rotation back and forth should loosen it.

Other things you'll need:

1. Double stick VHB tape (example: 3M brand).

Assembly Instructions:

1. Apply double stick tape as shown. 
2. Orient the parts as shown then snap together.

     3. Rotate this part of the leg for correct orientation. 

     4. Stick to the back side of the mirror; try to avoid leaving a gap at the bottom of the mirror.

PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE - do not block the windshield (temporarily) any more than you have to, to block the sun while driving.  When no longer needed, please fold it back up! By using this model, you are taking full responsibility for its usage.
