This pin is modeled after the Batarang in the "The Dark Knight" trilogy. You will need an ordinary thumb tack to complete this project.
After printing the object, you can paint it. I used matte black acrylic paint. Any other finishing technique should work fine as well. I took an ordinary thumb tack and broke the plastic bit off, leaving me with the metal part. I poured a little bit of white glue in the hole and pushed the metal pin in it. This worked out very well for me so far.
