This is the kit you need to get your robot jousting. It includes a mount for a ¼" diameter dowel lance with a pushpin at one end and a balloon at the other.  A safety tip for the pushpin is also included.

How to play:

Via remote control (e.g., BLE app) or autonomously, each robot attempts to pop the other robot's balloons.

Models:

  • Lance Mount
  • PushPin Mount
  • Balloon Mount
  • Safety Tip (print in TPU)
Additional Materials:
  • ¼" wood dowel - approximately 25cm
  • 3x M3x10mm screws
  • 3x M3 nuts
  • pushpin (bulletin board type)
  • balloon
  • hot glue
Required tools:
  • 2.5mm hex driver and 5.5mm nut driver for M3 screws and nuts
Slicer Settings:

All models were printed on a Bambu X1C at 0.2mm layer height with no supports.  Safety Tip printed in TPU, all others in PLA.

Assembly:

One end of the “Pushpin Mount” should friction fit on one end of the dowel. Glue the pushpin in the other end of the pushpin mount with a dab of hot glue.  Place the “safety tip” over the pointy end of the pushpin.

Attach the lance mount to the middle of the dowel using one M3x10mm screw and nut.

Attach the balloon mount to the other end of the dowel using one M3x10 screw and nut.

Attach the lance assembly to the robot using 1 M3x10mm screw and nut.

Attach a balloon to the balloon mount by pulling the knot past the notch as shown in photo.
