ELEGOO Mini Heater RELOCATION

ELEGOO Mini Heater RELOCATION due to it using up the UV Lid Extraction Hole

I use an extraction fan system set up on the preformed UV Lid hole and rear hole plate supplied on the Elegoo Saturn series resin printers. The issue with using the Elegoo Mini Heater during colder weather is, it is required to be located utilising this hole in the UV Lid.

This relocation will require you to drill a few holes on the other side of the UV Lid to relocate the heater to the other side and you can continue to utilise both the extraction fan system and the heater.

My extraction system does not remove a huge volume of internal air, just enough to remove fumes and if needed can be adjusted further using a regulator on its small power unit. You can also continue to use the Elegoo Carbon Filter on the side of the extraction system.

NOTE: On drilling the acrylic top, I had no problems drilling this as its quite thick and then I cleaned it up with a dremel tool.

1. Place masking tap over the area to be drilled and dremeled to protect the lid
2. Use the TEMPLATE to mark the bolt holes and internal rectangular hole - initially drill with a 2mm drill around the marked edge of the rectangular hole and x4 bolt holes. Clean up the rectangular internal hole with a demel, then use the 2mm bolt holes you drilled to now guide a 3.5mm drill ready for the bolts. You can now discard the template.
3. Use M3 knurled nuts and press fit or heat fit into the x4 holes as shown
4. Use M3 bolts about 6mm long and secure the rear plate to the UV Lid
5. Install the Elegoo Mini Heater using the original supplied screws
6. Done!!
