UPDATE 27th oct. '24

Toms Puķītis asked me to make a version without the TP-mounting.

UPDATE 13th Oct '24: (v3.9)

slightly higher box, three mm more height on the inside.

UPDATE: aug, 27th '24

After testing, multiple updates, many protypes, testing …
Version 3.8

Previous versions, with speedo-plate, proved to not be strong enough to withstand the abuse of a competition 1/8th buggy. The speedo-plate kept breaking when using simple PLA or PETG.
A simple box, however performes nicely.

ALSO: also fits the older XB8e's!

ToDo: might test some other filaments as PLA+ for a version with speedo-plate integrated

********

The idea …

in short: receiver-box for the XB8E, type 2024, which has a shorter chassis and some altered steering-parts.
A previous design does not fit anymore + I added some features such as the AMB-transponder-fitting.

I made several versions.
Personally, I prefex the version integrated in the ESC-platform (or "Composite Speedo Plate" as it is called).

The BoxBOX-version is a simple box which can be glued, taped, bolted on to the original Speedo Plate.

!! This is work in progress.
As you can see in one of the pictures, I made more then one prototype to test .. and more alternations, corrections might follow.

All feedbback is welcome.

I also have seen other versions/solutions for this problem, and some might be more professional … but this one is for myself and FREE to use for all (non-commercial!).

IMPORTANT!
You WILL need to print with supports.

I print with a Prusa XL, dualhead, and use PETG and PLA, from which i use one for supports. The difference in filament makes it very easy to remove the supports.
Just use the SOLUBLE FULL-protocol.

Printing the box out of PLA = strong box; less flexible.
Printing out of PETG has my preference: it's a bit more flexible
Other filaments can also be used obbviously …
