I have only uploaded the additional parts which I designed, these fit on the original parts uploaded by Miklos Kiszely.
Base
- This part is fairly large so I printed it on the large format machines at my work. www.printingportalhub.co.uk offer this printing service if it is too large for your machine. Email them asking for Large FDM printing (Note they are in the UK).
- PLA is suitable
- I added threaded brass inserts (AKA Heat stake inserts). I pushed them in with a soldering iron. Take care to ensure they go in straight, you may need to adjust the hole size depending on the brand of insert.
Brackets
- These simply hold the original frame down to the base.
- They use M6 counter sunk bolts.
- PLA is suitable for these parts.
Motor Coupling
- These parts allow the motor to drive the respooler whilst still being easy to seperate should there be a maintanence problem.
- It also allows for a bit of play between the motor and the respooler allowing for tolerances and flex in the machine.
- I used Carbon filled PETG for this part. PLA might work but the risk is it ‘rounding out’ the flat edge on the hole that the motor presses into over time. If you cant print harder materials give PLA a go and see.
- I also printed the original shaft going into the respooler in Carbon PETG with a high % infill and lots of walls as they kept breaking in PLA and ABS.
Motor Bracket
- This is printed in PLA
- It fits this model of motor and probably a few others.
Motor
- We found this motor to be suitable. 60GA775 35W 24V 500RPM. 35W might be over-kill it was more of a guess than a calculated choice.
- Previously we used a smaller 24V motor but the load was too much and it burnt them out over time.
