The last bit of toothpaste is difficult to extrude when most of the tube has been used.  It squirts to the bottom of the tube and you have to work it back up to the nozzle again before you can brush your teeth.  These crimping rollers squeegee toothpaste from the bottom of the tube so it’s ready to apply to your toothbrush.

Other Needed Material

2 – ¼” (6mm) dowels 85mm long
Super glue

Printing

I sliced with a 0.25mm Z-step and used 20% hexagonal fill.  You'll need two copies of the axle caps and the rollers.   The rollers print vertically and support will help resolve the top gear’s teeth.

Assembly

Cut two 85mm long ¼” (6mm) dowels for the axles.  Super glue the dowels into one axle cap.  Slide the other axle cap onto the dowels to maintain parallel alignment while the glue sets.  When the glue has polymerized, slide the rollers onto the dowels with the gears meshing so that the bar of one roller lines up with the gap on the other roller. Then glue on the other axle cap being careful not to glue the rollers to the dowels.
