For this model you need the following components:
- STM32 bluepill
- stm32cubeide software
- WS2812 led strip (40 leds are required in total)
- small switch
- 5.5X2.5 8mm power jack insert
- 5V 1A power supply
- hot glue
The code is in this repository:
- use the “main” branch
in order to build conduct the following steps:
- cut the WS2812 strip to 3 pieces: 1X17 led strip, 1X13 led strip, 1X10 led strip
- solder the strips together (this is done in order to be able to glue the strips to the 3d printed part)
- solder the led strips to the stm32
- 5V →5V
- GND → GND
- Din → A0
- Solder switch and power input to 5V and GND in the strip respectively. you want the switch to control the 5V input to the strip
- note that the strip feeds the stm32 via the 5V and GND pins
- note that you can just use a wire and directly pass it through the 8mm hole. be sure to secure the wire with hot glue if you chose to do this.
- remove protective tape and glue ws2812 strip to model
- upload the code and enjoy
