I threw together some jigs to cut kumiko pieces to make various patterns. In my opinion they turned out roughly on par with my own wooden jigs but with far less hassle. But I do expect quality wooden jigs to be more durable in the long term.

Parts

I used M5 x 16mm thumb screws and heat set inserts from McMaster, but with a little modification any ol' m5 insert and wingnut would do fine at a tenth of the price.

Printing

I've printed these in both PETG and PLA. PLA seems adequate, but in future I'd like to try nylon for strength and added slipperiness. I recommend slicing these with no supports, reinforcement near the cutting face, around the insert and by the miter groove.  Just use a modifier solid to increase wall loops infill percentage in those areas.

Design

I plan on updating this design and making more angles as I continue making new kumiko projects. (dabbling with the idea of a steam bending jig as I don't love the look of the kerfs in mageki bending) But I included my design files in case anyone wants to modify these further. Please don't judge, I'm a noob at parametric design.
