OK few people require a front brake on a BMX but in some countries bicycles used in public places must have two working brakes to be legal. If you are involved in an accident with only a single brake you it can be difficult to prove you are not at fault.

A well fitted BMX front brake should pass the brake cable through the head stock allowing the bars to be spun without interference.

I provide a clip to hold cable to fork in optimal position and an insert that can be placed from below to ensure the cable exits the head to one side in correct place to minimize risk to snagging on tyre. Insert is held in place by same bolt that holds brake to frame. Clip can be secured by a nut and bolt if you must but a couple of tie wraps is fine.

An additional tie wrap is likely to be required above clip.
