The idea started from a wonderful model by Printed Encounter.
Created for a fan of gelatinous cubes so she could display her favorite lithophanes backlit in a green glowing cube. A one time print for me that took a few months of trial and error. Printed before the Input Shaper was available and learned the hard way not to use the default grid infill! (80% complete and a nozzle smacking layer shift ruined two 48 hour prints)
The light box is a simple USB-C wall wart powered set of LEDs wired together and the light box glued to the inside base with a diffuser panel. If I do it again i will just use LED stripping and change the lightbox to have a channel to slide that into.

There is a lot I would fix if I were to do this over again:
- Allow supports through the base (the angle of the support from the open face was dicey)
- Use LED strips instead of LEDs
- Put the holes in the model for the USB port instead of drilling afterward
- I was very early in my design skills and used TinkerCAD to import and export until I had what I wanted.
- Fix the depth on the slide slots for the lithophane open side, needs to be tight, but should be deeper
Not my proudest work but I was asked to post this model.
