One of the leg of my POC sunglasses for cycling has broke so I have to design and print a spare one. It works just fine. I guess you can basically use any material. I have tested PLA and PETG.
Ideal to print from TPU (then the legs are undecructible), 100% infill. The original legs are quite vulnerable to damage by a kid and the spare ones are quite expensive. These are designed to last, hopefully :-).
