It is a simple bracket, to use a flash, with your Exa 1C, when having a waist level viewfinder. What you gonna need is just to have a spare cold show of some sorts and a suitable screw to fix that plate into a camera.
It was a necessity, as to hold already exposed shots. Biggest surfaces are lined with soft foam/fabric, to prevent scratches, has a tight closing lid.
