Rugged tool box for bits
Made to accept various bits and parts from ratchet to screwdriver. Some generic and space for hex bits. Many spaces for ¼" sockets.
Additional hardware
- 6x M4x25mm screws for the rugged box
- Suitable glue to glue the inserts to the insides of the box.
Printing
- Print box and latches with flat sides down (I used PLA+)
- Print TPU gasket using slow speed.
- Print TPU inserts. A soft TPU is preferable
- Print screwdriver holder parts (I used PLA+)
Assembly
- Assemble the box
- Glue each insert to the box
- Glue the screwdriver holder parts to the inserts
Example box
I've used this box close to a year now, and the TPU inserts have held up very well. No particular wear. The bits seldom loosens.
