Play by yourself or compete with an opponent or play with teams; you make up the rules for your game!
Hardware needed:
2 x Neodymium magnets, 5mm x 10mm x 60mm.
1 x steel rod, 3mm diameter x 65mm long.
Glue (optional)
4 x Anti-Slip self adhesive footies, 1/2 inch (13mm) diameter (optional)
This toy includes a “practice shield” that presses onto the top of the “coin return.“ This should stop many of the shots that miss the slot.
Model files are oriented to print. No supports are needed. However, I recommend using supports on the ”flipper mount” piece. It has four - 13mm diameter x 1mm deep cutouts intended for footies. I get a better finish for the self adhesive footie when I’ve used supports. Use “snug” supports on the entire circular pocket. And if you choose not to use footies, don’t remove the supports for a smooth bottom.
You will need to put in a pause to insert the magnets. Be very careful with these magnets, they are strong! Don’t let a magnet get away from you.
The 3mf file has the supports painted on and a pause to insert magnets. The circular arrow is colored for multi color machines.
Here is how to get the magnets oriented correctly. Take two magnets and carefully let them attach to each other. Using a marker, write a small “X” on each of two outside faces while they are attached to each other. When printing and it pauses, insert the magnets in their locations with the “X” facing UP on both magnets.
Assembly is easy. When you put the flipper onto the flipper mount, it should be repelled. Hold the flipper in place and insert the steel rod. (I did make a flipper with a smaller hole for a filament piece as axle, and it wasn’t as smooth operation)
The coin return piece fits onto the flipper mount piece. I glued mine together.
I hope you like ❤❤ this design!! Good luck 😉😉!! Post 📬📬 your makes!!
