Simple Round AirTag Case

A simple round case for an Apple AirTag. Used to protect the AirTag while it rides along inside your bag, purse, helmet, bike, or anywhere else you might choose to stash an AirTag.

Print Recommendations:

• 0.4mm nozzle.
• Print with the flat sides facing the print bed (should be obvious, but… Ya never know!).
• PETG recommended, but most materials should work just fine.

Notes:

• When loading the .3mf file for slicing, be sure to select “No” when prompted to load the file as a single object having multiple parts (you need to be able to orient the two parts individually).
• The case is designed with fairly tight clearance for the AirTag (0.2mm), so you may have to tap the base of the case against your palm a couple times to get the AirTag back out after you've put it in the case, depending on your printer's tolerances and calibration. This is intentional, as I did not want the AirTag to be able to rattle around inside the case. For this reason, however, you should make sure your printer is calibrated well and the print comes out clean, otherwise you will likely run into clearance issues and may have to do some post-processing or may not be able to use the case at all, depending on the quality of the finished print
• If you find the lid is very difficult to get on and/or off, some light sanding around the circumference of the closure lip on the base of the case should improve the fit of the lid.
• I recommend aligning the tabs on the lid between the tabs on the base, which makes them easier to grip when removing the lid from the base.
