I didn't have room for the entire mic stand next to my desk so I made a copy of the piece at the top.
You need to remove the screw and washers that hold the boom to the base and attach it to this mount. There is a hole in the bottom that I tapped for an M6 bolt. Then I drilled a hole in the desk and tightened it down.
This iteration is a bit too thick so you only need to use one of the pads from the original stand. I probably wont update this design until mine breaks but feel free to modify or copy.
I recommend using PETG with a high infill. Something over 25% but closer to 50% otherwise it wont take the clamping force. I store it in the upright position and it stays out of the way.
