LeashHangarV2.
The magnets I used are from Harbor Freight. For V2, I made this model a bit wider (5mm increase) and reduced the distance between the latch arms 0.75 mm for a tighter fit. Printed in PLA, but would probably be better in PETG. Supports are not really necessary.
----
This is a bracket that fits on the underside of a 6010 stair rail. It has embedded magnets which hold a metal prong collar. Slots are to add flexibility for attaching it to the rail.
Put a pause at 4.80mm to insert magnets. Use 2 magnets stacked per hole for stronger holding power.
The model marked ‘holes’ has 3 holes for 8 x 2 mm Harbor Freight magnets. Though we have 3 leashes, I have a hangar on each side of the stairs, one with 1 magnet, the other with 2 magnets.
The model marked ‘solid’ has no flexibility slots or magnet holes. You can create slots/holes for your sized magnets in the slicer.
Printed with 0.20 layer height and the ‘latches’ oriented up. Printed mine with painted on supports for the top, but YMMV.
Note: The snap hook on most leashes is not magnetic, but the Sprenger prong collar is.
