I used 2 types of steel washers to create the weight: always outer diameter: 30mm, thickness:1.5mm
- Type1: inner hole (needed for the hole where the foil fits in): hole diameter: 13mm
- Type2: hole as small as I could find to have the most mass possible: hole diameter: 6.6mm
If you use different types of washers, you can easily change those parameters in the openscad file.
You will have to play around a bit to get the final weight at 500g + some margin. You can do this by carefully selecting the washers (with lower or higher than average weigth) of by adding smaller washers on top until you reach the desired value.
Per the FIE rules, weights provided by the competition organiser can be 500g +/- 2g, so I chose to be on the safe side and calibrated mine to 503g.
