This is a replacement rear bracket / retainer for the Hornby Class 58 motor assembly X1737. Replacement for part L5700.

This model creates a replacement rear motor retainer bracket for the Hornby Class 58 (1982-1988). This is for motor assemblies X.1737 and is a direct replacement for the Hornby L5700 part. Hornby no longer make this part and its not readily available from spares companies.
There are two versions provided, the narrow version is a direct replacement. The other version is a slightly wider version that is a bit more robust. I use the narrow version but I included the wider version in case it was of use to anyone.
Print the bracket on its side (see screenshot) with no supports, 0.2mm layer height, 3 wall count, 15% infill.
Place the larger hole over the motor bearing, align the screw hole and reuse the original screw.
