I had a broken hinge on my original cap and decided to try and print a new one rather than buy. I searched a few sites for an STL, and couldn't find one that would fit the Veloster. But, I came across Wischwasserbehälterspritzkappe Ford Focus Cmax by demjansein, and liked the way it looked. So I remixed it to fit the Veloster. I also designed a few different versions of a disk that can either be epoxied to the cap after printing, or placed on the cap in the slicer to be printed as one piece. If you choose to make it one piece, you will need to use supports.
Place the cap top down, and set supports to “build plate only”. This will put a small support under the hinge to keep it from distorting when printing. Use a color change on the disks to make the text, logo, or icon stand out. I used PETG, but ABS or ASA would be ideal. I would not use PLA of any kind for this.
