I recently got a wireless carplay adapter for my Subaru Forester 2020, wanted to add a magsafe mount for my phone.
The cubby under the infotainment has never been quite right for setting a phone down, this magsafe puck keeps the phone from sliding around. The right side has an indent for keys, spare change, etc.
To install, I removed the rubber pad from the cubby. I fed the excess cable down into one of the holes in the plastic below. I used some 3M adhesive to secure the magsafe puck, and some vhb foam on the print to keep it in place.
My phone is an iPhone 15 Pro, and its just the right size to snap onto the magsafe puck. If you have a larger phone or thicker case it may not have enough clearance. The design could be edited to extend the magsafe even further out if you needed to.
I printed in Bambu ABS-GF on X1C, make sure to use a material that can withstand the heat inside your car.
