Hello everyone,
i designed this water reduction nozzle to save water while having a shower. Especially warm water. There are several water reduction systems out there but this is different.
This nozzle intruduce air into the system which reduces water and give a good shower experience. If feels like rain while having a good preasure at the showerhead. At least in my opinion. The principle is based on the venturi effect.
In my case i achived a water reduction of 40%. I'm still using my nozzle (the version with four intake holes) for about two years now. Published the design two years ago on another 3d printing platform. I thought why not give it another try on this one - having the printables nomination in mind. So why not give it a try.
Have fun printing. My settings are:
- 0.4mm Nozzle
- Initial Layer height: 0.2mm
- Layer height: 0.1mm
- Wall line count: 4
- Minimum wall line width: 0.2
- Material: PLA
- Supports: None
- Infill: At mimimum 40%. Mine is printed with 100%. More mass makes it more reliable in the long rung.
The male thread must be aligned to the print surface. (so don't try to rotate the nozzle)
NOTE: You need to put a sealing ring into the female thread before mounting. Otherwise it will leak. Mount it between the faucet and the hose to the showerhead
