Disclaimer: All parts were printed on my AnkerMake M5. Some tolerances are tight (particularly the MountableCover) and slight adjustments may be required in the slicer to accommodate your printer.
Items Purchased Separately
- ARCTIC P8 Slim PWM PST 80mm PC Fan
- The included screws with the fan for me were not a ‘standard’ 3mm fan screw. I had some extras lying around and used those for my build.
- PC Case Dust Mesh Filter (PVC)
- Super-glue
Parts to Print and Recommended Materials
No supports required. Recommend 0.2mm layer heights for all PLA and TPU prints. I recommend 0.15mm layer height for the PETG (0.2mm should still work, but I used 0.15mm).
- PETG
- A_MountableCover - Qty. 1
- PLA
- B0_LongLeg - Qty. 1
- B1_ShortLeg - Qty. 1
- D_FanFilter_Outside - Qty. 1
- TPU
- C_FanFilter_Inside - Qty. 1
- E_FootCover - Qty. 4
- 30% Gyroid, Grid, or Line Infill
- The inner diameter is slightly less than the outer diameter of the B0_LongLeg and B1_ShortLeg. This is to use the properties of the TPU material to stretch over the legs and ensure they don't slip off.
Note: You may choose not to put a filter on the fan. In which case you shouldn't need to print D_FanFilter_Outside or C_FanFilter_Inside.
Assembly Overview
From top to bottom the parts will appear as follows in the final assembly.

Assembly
Note: These assembly steps will put the 80mm fan as the fan that reports the TACH back to the motherboard. So, all RPM's read out by the BIOS, UGREEN's software, or other vendors software will report the TACH of the 80mm fan. The PWM signal is also sent to the rear fan and will be controlled in parallel with the 80mm fan.
Before beginning, I recommend finding a guide on disassembling the chassis. You won't need to do a full disassembly. Just enough to slide the inner assembly frame out of the exterior chassis.
The most crucial step for this will be routing the power cable for the 80mm fan. To do this, you first route the fan cable through the MountableCover.
Second, route the cable into the exterior chassis (inside should be hollow).
Third, carefully slide the interior assembly frame back into place. This may require moving the fan cable and connectors around as you slide it on. It is possible, but somewhat difficult.
Fourth, plug the cable into the motherboard and the rear fan into the included splitter on the cable.
Fifth, follow the assembly picture for orientation on assembling sections A, B0, B1, and FAN together. For this you will use 3mm fan screws from the inside of the chassis to go through A, B0, and FAN for one side and A, B1, and FAN for the other side.
Sixth, use the same 2 screws that UGREEN supplies for to attach the bottom cover.
Seventh, cut an 82mm x 82mm square out of the PVC filter mesh. Then chamfer each corner by cutting a 45 degree angle approx. 3mm away from the corner. Place the PVC filter mesh into D_FanFilter_Outside apply super-glue inside along the long edges and then place C_FanFilter_Inside ontop of the mesh. You may choose to use a small light-weight book to hold things in place while the glue sets.
Eighth, insert the assembled FanFilter into the Fan.
Ninth, slide all of the printed E_FootCover onto the legs. This should require stretching each foot slightly. You may need to rotate the foot cover's.
Tenth, Enjoy your work!
