What makes it special

The rounded corners are what I notice first when I pick this one up. There are nearly no sharp points on it at all, and that soft edge is the whole point of the pointless version. It sits in the BEST series alongside my other vortex models, and it is a very easy print.

I took inspiration for this type of model from RJ Design, but I designed this one myself. The modern shape makes it more child safe than a pointed version, and the rounded corners make it a fun piece to keep on hand.

Print settings

Infill: 0% (there is no overhang that needs infill)
Filament: PLA, PETG, or ABS/ASA
Supports: NO
Brim: NO

Fit tip

In PrusaSlicer, set XY Size Compensation to -0.35 for the inner piece only, since this model has a separate inner piece. Leave the outer piece alone. That tighter setting helps the print tolerances even further.

Good to know

If a young child will handle it, scale the design much larger than the size of their mouth.

When you take the vortex off the printing plate, wait until the plate has completely cooled, or the parts can warp.
