Surface mount 20mm cutout templates conduit and stuffing gland

I designed these to do a workshop re wire that required the use of plastic back boxes along a benched workspaces. A lot of back boxes of this type do not have 20mm knock outs in them and as I also like to use 20 mm nut and flange fittings to join multiple boxes together I needed something that allowed for accurate alignment of the holes. (I found Deta TTE boxes are exceptionally good in these instances )

Easy to use:

line up the little indented arrow to point to the rear of the box and with the tabs back and side, use a centre punch to mark out the centre point. 

drill out your hole and fit the coupling 

When you are going between two boxes remember to use both templates to aling the holes ether top or bottom of the back box.

print base down - No supports.

i have included both versions of the template, one is for conduit (marked ‘C’) and distances the fixing correctly for use with 18th edition fire rated clips and saddles. The other (marked ‘SG’) is for use with stuffing glands and is set further forward to accommodate the larger nut found on the brands I use (Deta TTE and Virmark)
