The Heinkel He 178 was the world’s first aircraft to fly using a turbojet engine, marking a revolutionary moment in aviation history. Developed in Germany by Ernst Heinkel and his team, the He 178 made its first successful flight on August 27, 1939. Powered by a Heinkel-designed jet engine, the aircraft demonstrated the potential of jet propulsion, reaching higher speeds than conventional piston-engine planes. Despite its groundbreaking design, the He 178 remained an experimental prototype and never entered mass production. However, it paved the way for future jet-powered aircraft and marked the beginning of the jet age.
Printing Info
There are two versions you can print, one with langing gear and one without, both with and without a sprue. You can also print all parts seperatly.
Building Info
If you have problems bending the wings up, try carefully heating them up. Then bend them and wait till cooled down.
