A small shelf support, works in a corner or to support a smaller shelf. Made to fit around a 2.5 cm (diameter) pole, such as a tension pole (or wall mounted pole).
Needed Materials:
- Shelf plate
- 5 M4x30 screws
- 5 M4x20 screws
- 10 M4 nuts
- 2 M4 set screws
- 1 4mm wood screw
Tested with 3.3 Kg load on a 20x15cm wooden plate.
Make 2 of each clamp, and one shelf support. Print with gyroid infill at 25 %. I've printed the clamps on the side, and the shelf support with the shelf surface down.
5 bottom layers, and 4 top, with 4 perimeters.
The clamps go together with M4 screws and nuts, total of 10 for this model. M4x30 for the screws going though the support, and M4x20 for the screws holding the support to the pole.
The shelf plate is mounted with 2 M4 set screws in front, length depends on thickness of shelf plate. Drill holes in the underside of the shelf with an adapter to stop at your desired depth. This ensures the shelf won't be sliding from side to side. (It is also possible to drill all the way through and use longer M4 screws, but it won't look as nice)
To ensure the shelf doesn't flip if loaded at the tip, use a 4mm wood screw through the shelf, and into the hole closest to the pole.
I havent yet tested the top plate mount (waiting for more screws).
