The stepper motor drivers on my Qidi X-Plus 4 were reaching temperatures of up to 100°C. I mounted a 40mm x 40mm radial fan with a 3D printed mount. This reduced the temperatures by around 30-40°C. You will need a 40mm x 40mm radial fan (24V), corresponding 2.5mm self-tapping screws for the fan mount, and longer 3mm self-tapping screws for the printer's mainboard.

The original backplate with the attached fan remains in place; you can wire both fans in parallel, or simply use the radial fan. I did not notice any difference.

The larger fan upgrade, often recommended by various designs, is a straightforward solution but presents its own challenges. Primarily, it directs an excessive amount of air into the printer. I've observed that the extraction fan from the chamber fails to provide sufficient airflow for any filtration when there's a larger fan targeting the mainboard. Additionally, cable management is highly recommended for the Qidi Plus4. I've achieved better thermal performance simply by organizing the cables.
