Seems the left frame plug on my 2007 Suzuki DR 650 SE kept coming off..... after replacing it a few times, I just left it open - until I got my 3D printer. I went through a couple designs which either were too tight and cracked, or were too loose and fell out during a ride. This one seems to be holding well with just friction alone.
I recommend printing in ABS, PETG, ASA, Nylon, or even TPU for best weather-ability; you can use a little RTV silicone to help keep it in place or to seal it.
