Note, most of the parts are compatible with the original tower system, so you can use those too.
Some parts of the original system with a low bottom might not fit with the new parts that have an internal pipe, if the top part has low central parts.

Improvements over popular hydroponics tower system (which it is still compatible with):

  1. Less plastic
  2. An internal conduit with integrated couplings makes it so that no pipe is required. You can just add/remove pieces. The Diameter is such that the plastic pipe should go through, if for some reason it's needed.

There is space for a TPU seal, but I didn't need one, as I have no leaks.

I can't state how useful I find this, as avoids cutting pipe, allows for easier maintenance (e.g. you don't pull the pump with the tower)

  3. Adds supports for a top distributor plate, so that one can better target where the water falls.
  4. Adds pipe to coupling system, and coupling to pipe, so that one can still use old parts with pipe
  5. Slightly bigger lip on the pot, so that one can write the plant type.

Parts

  1. 3 Way
  2. Distributor plate (goes on top of 3 way)
  3. Pipe to coupling (typically at bottom, connected directly to the pump
  4. Coupling to pipe (in case you want to go from “coupling” pieces to old pieces)
  5. Distributor (top piece, right below cap). Has a screw fitting (3D printed threads), so that one can fit a stream breaker if desired (I don't find it needed, because of the distributor plates that ensure water falls over the pots)
  6. Lid, with arms supports. It is open ended at the top, in case one wants to add electronics at the top, protected from water)
  7. Arms, which plug into the lid, for light or camera support
  8. Matings (f3d only), so that one can easily create new parts. Pipe couplings are already at the right height.

Pictured without the stop cap to show that the stream coming out at the very top is very strong, I think there are ~no leaks in couplings.

I've only tried printing in PETG (except the distributor plates which I quickly printed in PLA)
