Cateye makes great mounts for their lights, but centrally mounted ligh looks so much better. It's also more aero, but if you are into that you have probably figured out that no light is even more arero, duh!
Hardware required:
Disassembled cateye mount.
2 zip ties. 4.5 mm width.
M4 Nylock nut
Frame protector tape
Compatibility
As far as I know, it should be compatible with all Cateye front lights that use the screw on clamp - so a majority of them and all the better ones. This uses the light attachment part from the clamp so you'll have to disassemble yours.
Versions
Versions are named based on angle offset from the stem. Ideally tou want the light pointing few degrees down and the final angle will be influenced by your head angle, stem angle and finally the mount angle. For reference, I'm running -19° mount on 0° stem.
Printing
You cannot go wrong with full wall infill by adding many perimeters. I wouldn't go below 5mm wall thickness for heavy lights. Front part needs support but do not put support inside the zip tie holes.
Installation
First screw on the Cateye light mounting piece. Reuse the screw, but fix with M4 nylock nut.
Put a piece of thick frame protector tape between the mount and stem, so the mount has something to bite into and is better secured.
Then tighten well with zip ties and shorten the ties with clippers or scissors.
