This is a mount for the Logitech C270 webcam that allows you to use the camera with standard threaded tripod mounts for cameras.
It is designed to be printed with TPU 95A or softer as the case has to flex a little to push-fit the camera into the mount. It will not fall out and as it is a very good fit, it will not work with harder plastics.
This was made by scanning the mount point of the C270 and reverse engineering it in ExModel, after which it was imported into CAD and cleaned up a little and used to produce a generic mount.
This model requires the use of a single threaded insert. I use “Ruthex” inserts typically. The ones that fit this model are called "ruthex 1/4" thread insert camera thread inch (UNC) - 20 pieces RX-1/4" 20x12.7 brass threaded sockets for 3D printed plastic parts" with part number GE-1/4x127-001. You will need access to a soldering iron to install the insert. |  |
