This is a Draw/Discard Card Tray for playing card games such as UNO, Rummy, etc. It's tall enough to hold two decks of cards, even if they're a bit old and ‘fluffy’.
It printed successfully on my first try using PLA, no supports / brims, 20% Cubic infill (for a bit of extra strength - kids will be using this), and required 97g of filament. Took about two hours on my K1 Max.
Why? I recall a game from my childhood called Mille Bornes that had a really nice card tray. I've included a picture of that tray that I found on the Internet. I really liked the design of that tray, and while there are some nice printable tray designs already available, I couldn't find one like this. So, I took it as a challenge to work on my AutoCAD Fusion skills. I no longer have the original tray from my childhood, so I built the model from a few photos I found, using the dimensions of cards I had around the house as constraints. The dimensions of my tray won't perfectly match the original.
