Funnel with checkvalve for collection of cooking oil/fat in a PET bottle. Built in check-valve to avoid spillage.
If you care about your sewers you don't pour you cooking oil/fat down the drain, you collect it and send it for recycling instead. For this purpose I designed a simple funnel that threads on a PET bottle. When the bottle is full you just unscrew the funnel, screw on the cap and throw it out with the trash/ recycle it, without any mess.
After a while, you have a full 2l bottle of oil, your kid or pet (or yourself) accidently knock the bottle over and everything spills on the floor. Not with this funnel since it's equipped with a check valve so everything stays safe within the bottle.
To seal properly the check valve needs a 20OD x 3.1 O-ring
If you don't want the check-valve there is a model-file with just the funnel included.
Printing:
The model prints in one piece without supports with the threaded part on the printbed (funnel upright). I've also included files with just the funnel and just the check valve.
PETG is recommended but PLA should work as well.
To avoid leakage through the plastic an extrusion factor of 1.05-1.1 is recommended. (may need to be adjusted to your printer)
