A watch stand with a weighted base and prongs that allow you to store and retrieve your watch without having to fasten/unfasten the strap.

15/01/2025 Update 1: I've skeletonized the model and made the walls of the holder (the pill shaped top part that holds the watch) thinner. I also moved the position of the pillar(the part that connects the pill shaped holder to the base) forwards a tad, reducing the overall material used by the pillar, but not reducing the height of the stand. I've noticed no increase in print difficulty, nor any signs of structural weakness from the skeletonization. This optimization reduces the weight of the watch stand from 70g to 58g.
Features
- Holds your watch using two prongs. This allows you to store and retrieve the watch without needing to fasten/unfasten the strap.
- It has a weighted base for stability that is achieved without needing to do a print pause. The base is hollow and is accessible by opening the lid. Stuff the base with coins and paper towels to weigh it down and prevent rattling.
- The stand is angled at 45 degrees, allowing you to use your watch as a desk clock.
Printing
- Prints on its flat side without supports. The overhanging prong might seem steep at first, but if my Kingroon KP3s can do it without supports, any printer can. If you're worried about this, print the overhang with tree supports as shown in the last picture.
SOLIDWORKS part file included.
