This print is for a core that will accept wooden pieces that will be turned on a lathe for a pen blank. There are plenty of other uses as well. If you scale it up, it can be a blank for handles (ice cream scoop, pizza cutter, etc.). I printed with ASA and it turned fine. See the photos for how I cut the wooden inserts. They can not have a sharp point, as I used flats instead to provide a more rigid print. I highly recommend using a brim to help adhesion to the print bed. I used a drop of CA to glue in the inserts, then flooded thin CA all around after all pieces are inserted.
