I had a very inaccessible ¼ turn shut off valve on a water tank which I couldn't grip properly to operate.
I originally made a longer replacement for the handle but the PLA wasn't strong enough and the cut out just tore loose.
So I made a handwheel to fit around and clamp to the original handle which was made of much stronger material than PLA. This then allowed me to turn the valve easily at the awkward and blind position it was in inside the cupboard.
The original valve handle is 11mm diameter so the 3 parts are assembled together to create a new handle and the whole thing is then fitted to the valve spindle.
While it's fairly unlikely that this model will fit other applications it could be used as a template to modify for another handle size.
