This is my Fusion360 file for the SplitKB Sofle v2 (Kailh Low Profile Choc Switches/hot-swapable), its pretty bare bones and just the top and bottom plate. This makes it easy to edit and adjust! I've attached some pictures on how it turned out.

Some notes to be aware of:

  • I'm not sure if the hole for the rotary encoder works, I don't have one (yet). Edits might be necessary here!
  • The top plate is 2.20mm thick with an edge of 1.3mm for the low choc switches to grab onto (maybe 1.2mm might be better, it works fine as of now, no rattling or clicking)
  • trying to remove a keycap often pulls out the whole switch (I recommend to use the keycaps and switch puller), which is fine but maybe a 1.2mm edge prevents this, though this is a non issue for me and 1.3mm works fine (see pictures)
  • the bottom half of the top plate is 0.9mm thick to give some stability totaling in a 2.20mm thickness, this can maybe be reduced, I'm not sure
  • I'm using the hot-swappable setup, note that the switch itself is hold in tightly by the little clamps/sockets you solder to the board and the top plate just give a bit of extra support
  • the bottom plate is 2mm thick
  • the holes for the screws are a very tight fit (I took the radius measurements from pcb schematic), it might be worth to increase the diameter a tiny bit so the screws don't require a screw driver and some force to get them through the plastic, though its not really a problem, it can be assembled just fine with the current diameter
  • there is currently no support for the mounting puck, but you should be able to just add that easily in the fusion360 file (see the hidden PCB sketch when in fusion)

The whole idea of this upload is to provide a simple fusion model that can be edited and altered as needed for anyone wanting to experiment. I've also shared this on the splitkb discord, feel free to ping me @Linus
