If you are a weird coffee person who likes espresso, you are aware that shaking your grounds is all the rage. If you use a Niche Zero grinder and don't want to sink the money on a fancy Blind Shaker, this is a very cheap alternative. Drop this simple lid onto your dosing cup after grinding, hold it down firmly and shake with vigor for a few seconds. A gentle rap on the counter top afterwards will knock the grounds off the lid and back into the cup.
This is styled after the Weber Workshops blind shaker with a conical protrusion into the cup. I have no idea if WW only did that to make it easier to dispense the grounds from their shaker, or if there is some magic in having something inside the cup to create more agitation of the grounds while shaking. Maybe both? In any case, this lid has one just because.
I may fit other 58mm dosing cups, but I haven't tried it on anything other than the Niche Zero cup. When printing, make sure to use extra perimeters to ensure the “stem” is solid.
