Wiring & Assembly:
WARNING DO NOT DESOLDER HEATBED WIRES
When i assembled this design i tried to replace the stock heatbed wires with silicone wires that could be used in the cable chain. While i did manage to remove the old wires from the heatbed, when i went to solder on new wires the heatbed would dissipate all the heat from my soldering iron preventing me from melting the solder on pads of the heatbed. I ended up having to buy a new heatbed because i couldn't solder new wires onto the original heatbed.
Wiring:
strip the outer insulation 5cm or more, then strip the individual wires 1cm

strip the new wires 1cm and solder them to the old wires, then apply heatshrink

strip the 20-24awg wires 3-4mm then crimp the jst xh pins onto the wires and install the 2 pin connector

strip the 18awg wire 1cm and (optional) crimp the ferrules on

Assembly:
screw carriage end to carriage mount bottom with 2 m3x8 bolts with the protrusion facing away from the hole for the wires

place carriage mount bottom and top on the right-back hole in the y-axis carriage and screw them together with 3 m3x8 bolts

route the wires through the hole in the carriage mount then attach the heatbed and secure the wires to carriage end with zip ties

connect all cable chain links together then connect one end to carriage end, route wires through the cable chain and install the latches

connect base end to cable chain and secure the wires using zip ties ensuring enough wire length in the cable chain for it to move

route the wires through the hole for the original heatbed wires and connect them to the mainboard

remove the back right foot from the cover

screw the cover on leaving the back right corner without screws

screw base end onto the bottom of the printer through the cover using 2 m3x8 screws and m3 washers, then reinstall the foot
