This is a bolt-on mount for REV Robotics Spark MAX motor controllers. This version accepts #8 bolts to mount to any flat surface or can use existing hole to tie wrap the base in any desired location. You can use the bolt holes underneath he Spark Max controller or the outside whatever is preferred.
The intent was to use Wago 221 connectors connected to the Spark Max controller to enable connecting the CAN bus system used in an FRC robot more conveniently and with improved reliability over the existing JST connection system.
The holes around the base and Wago mount is to allow to feed through a tie wrap fasten the whole assembly.
The Base plate is keyed so the Spark MAX controller can only be mounted one way. This was designed so the Wago cover can be mounted along with the Wago mount plate all aligned for the tie wrap to go though the whole assembly.
For the main purpose of connecting the CAN bus system within the robot you only need the Dual Top version of the mount but I have provided an additional Quad Wago mount if there is a need to use the contacts for something else.
The Wago connector will snap in very firmly as that was the intent. Should you need to remove/replace the Wago connector it should be easy to slide out.
The intent is to connect the CAN wires from the SPARK MAX to the Wago connector above the module with about 4" of wire. I recommend doubling or using the 2 Yellow wires & 2 Green wires together, more so for redundancy to each side of the Wago connector.
Use naked EN1512 ferrules on binding the Yellow & Green wires into the Wago connector.

- Note that if you try and use the insulated version they will not go deep enough the Wago connector to make proper contact.
Ideally this platform should be used with another design I did for connecting the Spark MAX controller to the REV Robotics NEO BLDC motor swerve system. These 2 platforms were designed to work together.
The small holes on the ends are to pass though a small tie wrap to keep all wiring in place.

All parts can be printed with no support required.
Although I believe printing the Plate Cover & Wago Mount covers can be printed in PLA it would probably be prudent to print in PETG or a similar material for better reliability during competition.
Recommend printing the Spark MAX Cover for Dual Wago Top Mount in clear PLA/PETG as it makes it easier to see the blinking LEDs.
