These snap-fit, parametrized riser feet are designed for the Eibos Polyphemus filament dryer. They increase airflow for improved performance and feature an optional dampener, which must be printed from TPU 95A, 85A for optimal vibration reduction. The TPU feet also enhance friction, preventing slipping. Fully customizable for a perfect fit and easy to install without additional tools.

Print and Assembly Notes

  1. Start by printing one foot first.
  2. Remove the rubber feet from the filament dryer.
  3. Insert the printed foot into the pre-existing hole.
  4. Check the fitment:
    • If the fitment is too tight, decrease the diameter by 0.1mm.
    • If the fitment is too loose, increase the diameter by 0.1mm.
    • Refer to the "How to Customize?" section for guidance.
  5. Print one foot again.
  6. Test the fitment:
    • If the fitment is now perfect, proceed to print the remaining three feet.
    • If the fitment is still not correct, repeat step 4.
  7. Optionally, print the feet_damper out of TPU and attach them to the feet using double-sided tape.

How to customize?

You can easily modify the design using the Fusion 360 CAD program. Follow these steps to customize the riser feet to your specifications:

1. Open the eibos_polyphemus_riser_feet.f3d file in Fusion 360.

2. Click MODIFY, then select Change Parameters from the drop-down menu.

3. Adjust the parameters in the Expression column as needed.

The model will resize automatically based on your changes. If you encounter any issues or have questions, feel free to ask in the comments.

4. Once satisfied, export the model as a .stp or .stl file and print the bodies (no supports required).

Happy printing!
