Recently got a Ender-3 V3 Plus to add to my KE which I had already designed a mount for. The default Creality mount isn't very useful as it keeps the camera stationary so I designed this one to move the with the extruder. Like the mount I made for the KE this one gets rid of the heavy camera base and holds it directly using the existing side holes and the wire in the back. The mount attaches directly to the filament runout sensor reusing the bottom screw and also has a groove for that wire. On my printer the existing screw was long enough for the added width of the mount (about 2mm) but if yours is not you'll need a slightly longer screw.
Print on it's back side, no supports should be necessary. Any type of filament should be ok although if you are using a enclosure you probably want to go with something a little more heat resistant then PLA. "Standard” settings should work (0.4 nozzle, 0.2 line, 20% cubic infill, etc) as when printed on it's side the bending to get the camera into the mount are perpendicular to the layer lines. Personally I went with Elegoo Rapid PETG: 0.4 nozzle, 0.12 layer height, 250*/75*, 4 walls/4 tops/4 bottoms, 20% gyroid infill but print it however you want.
There are two versions. Version 1 positions the camera at the exact same height as the nozzle. Version 2 moves the mount up about 5mm so it's a little above. Both work fine and I used both for a couple prints but personally kept v2 on my printer.
