This is an adaptor for use with Makita trim routers (and clones, eg Katsu). It fixes to the trim base of the router, which should be fitted with a bearing-guided flush trim bit. The adapter provides a much larger guide that runs on the surface that is being lipped, and reduces the tendency of the router to tilt.
In addition to the 3 printed components, the device requires the following hardware:
- a piece of M6 studding, approx 160mm long;
- a piece of 6mm ID/8mm OD steel tubing, approx 140mm long
- 1 M6 full nut
- 2 M6 Nyloc nuts
- M6 washers
No special printing requirements - PLA is fine.
