While the original cardboard boxes for Melitta coffee filters are unobtrusive, serve the purpose of holding filters, and have lived comfortably in our kitchen drawer for years and years now, I wanted to practice something different with FreeCAD to make a holder for the filters. I initially started by scanning a single coffee filter with an evidence ruler, then imported that into FreeCAD. From there, I built my sketches on top of the image. Definitely was a fun experiment, and I have a bit more to learn.
The holder fits 100 Melitta #4 filters.
Included in the files is also the FreeCAD save, but please note that some of the sketches are not constrained and only a couple of relational constraints. Edit the file at your own peril.
