A sized-up variant of the firefly shell caddy I remixed earlier. Holds five silly shells, any type where the dart doesn't poke out the shell (no mega-xl or sniper shells). Pressure tab pressed the shells against the wall of the caddy with the help of elastic. Mounted using x2 molle tabs, like these, pictured above with a cheap molle chest rig.
Parts List:
- x2 ≥6mm 3M screws, or one 30mm 3M screw (to hold the pressure tab in place)
- x1 4-6mm 3M (screw into the hole near the top of the Pressure Tab)
- 3mm diameter elastic cord
Assembles just like the firefly shell caddy. Start by tying a knot with the elastic cord through one of the holes on the front of the caddy, then around the side and through the middle of the caddy, threading though the pressure tab hole as well. Finish by tying a knot into the other hole in front of the caddy. The elastic should make a “C” shape, and the pressure tab should be have enough tension that shells will not rattle, and the shells still be easy to remove. If the shells are slipping out the top, unscrew the 3M screw at the top of the pressure tab a bit so it sticks out more, that can help stop the shells from escaping.
