This model is a collapsing golf club that is able to extend to the size of a real pitching wedge. The mechanisms of this model are completely originally CADed.
!!!!!!! Please follow these print directions for a good result !!!!!!!
There are 6 shaft pieces, numbered 0-5. Pieces 0 and 1 are the “grip” pieces. If you want a shorter club, do not print piece 0, and scale the bottom cap to fit piece 1.
For each of the shaft pieces, print in vase mode (aka spiralize outer contour in Cura), and make sure to set the extrusion width to 0.44. You can increase the extrusion width by 0.1 increments if the pieces don't fit together. Each shaft piece should overlap each other by around 5 cm (50mm)
When printing in vase mode, make sure to set the top and bottom layers to 0, so that no top or bottom layers are printed, allowing you to assemble the pieces together.
I suggest printing pieces 1 and 2 first so that you can see whether they overlap correctly before printing everything else.
For the club head, the STL file is a little messed up, so you will need to uniformly scale down the club head to 5.1% of the original size. Additionally, enable supports.
This club is not that sturdy, so don't attempt hitting a real ball with it.
Enjoy printing and have fun! 👍😊
